Thanksgiving week part 1

S'mores, margaritas and cooking with Ali, hot yoga together, San Marcos, Wimberley, wine, steak, it was a great time!

Cold + rainy = pj's and crockpots

It was awful out so we spent 3 full days in our pj's! We watched tons of movies, got the house ready for Christmas and ate and ate and ate! It was heaven, and the calm before the storm of Thanksgiving week. :)

The last games

Pics from the last soccer game, as you can see he's very excited its over. But he did score a goal this game and I have it on video!

Addy has loved this season of softball and will be going back in the spring.

Scotty's birthday

Well thank goodness we started celebrating him on Friday at the PJ concert cause having a birthday on a Monday stinks.  Scott spent most of his birthday with a client (not what he was expecting to do on his birthday) but that night we had dinner at Uchiko, finally.  And he got the new xbox so he should be one happy camper.  :)

Celebrating at his mom's house.  I made him a Reese's peanut butter and chocolate pie.  Pretty yummy. 

Yummy soup in this chilly weather

It's cold and the only thing that gets me over that is a hearty yummy soup.  I have used the crockpot so much already this year, that I had to run to Bed Bath and Beyond in a hurry because I thought it went out on me.  But of course as soon as I came home with a new one, it worked again.  I already had the food in there so that was good.  And I should post that recipe, as it was chicken dumplings and it was gooooooodddd!

My winnings from the DS farmers market.  A lady from my MOPS makes this jam and it is delightful.   Lavender berry, yum.

Field trip!

3rd time was a charm!  Half of the 1st graders finally got to take their field trip to the Wildflower center.  

PJ

Part of Scotty's birthday present was to start off the weekend at the PJ concert in Dallas.  Ben, Mont, Scott and I started the day off with a nice lunch at Union Park, across the street from our hotel.

It was a great show!  Glad we got to go and enjoy some adult time together.  

Helping the homeless

Addy and I went to volunteer Monday and we made a king ranch casserole to help feed the homeless.  It was fun, although it was depressing as we were right in the middle of downtown where they all hang out waiting for food.   It feels like there are a lot more homeless people in downtown Austin than there used to be last time we lived here.  Very sad.

But Addy did a great job!

Both kiddos were dressed so cute today, so we snapped a pic.

Sweet date

Addy had her first play date with a boy today. He asked his dad if she could come to a t-ball game of his so they played after school and then they went to his game and to Grand Slam Pizza. Cute stuff.

She gets her face painted like almost every other day it seems like, but at this birthday party, I think she did way better than usual.
