Confidence..that's my girl!

Proud mama here!  Addy woke up today wanting to hear her red sequined dress.  Little did she know she was getting knighted at school today, so it was very fitting.  She got awarded for exuding confidence and we got to hide behind the curtain and they said her name and there we all were!  She had an entourage with Gigi and Ellen still in town and Poppy and Scott and I.  Her teacher read a beautiful excerpt on her and we were all so proud.  Great job Addison.  We have been working on our confidence all year long!

Brady and his peeps

Our children love to perform (and compete for our attention).  Here's Brady performing for GiGi, Aunt Ellen and Nana yesterday.

I could never be a tv anchor person

Spent 2 hours outside filming a video for our neighborhood. It was tough! Who knows how that thing is going to turn out.

Memorial Day weekend

After a big rainstorm, and being too darn busy with work, we finally got to have some fun!  The Slatons were here this weekend and we enjoyed some much needed time together.  Swimming, drinking, eating, playing, eating and drinking some more and a piƱata a month later after the birthday make for a good time!

These guys are best buds.

Some adult time!

A great day at Driftwood Winery hanging out with great friends and family at the Austin Wine Festival, hearing Drew Kennedy play (and he was awesome!)

Then we got to sit at the chef's table at Trattoria!  It was awesome!!

All of the late nights had these kiddos zoned out with electronics

Chili cheese dogs

We had a chili cheese dog cookoff with our neighbors tonight after last night's transferring of margaritas, cookie cake and cupcakes from one house to the other. We both cooked each other a chili cheese dog and then compared. They added a nice glass of wine and stuffed olives to our package, so they won. ;)

Birthday parties

It was a great weekend, we loved spending the whole weekend with the kiddos. Saturday they got to go to 2 birthday parties on our street. And later that night, it was the the daddies that were acting as if they were 3 and 4 years old.  They were riding tricycles, rolling in big blow up balls and jumping bikes on a ramp in our neighbors very long (and very steep) driveway. It was pretty funny.
These guys are ready to party
Happy birthday Cole!

Can you see that big red ball at the top of the driveway they were rolling in??

Addy lost her 2nd tooth!

It's been 9 months since she lost her first tooth.  Thank goodness she finally did because there is already one growing in behind it and we were going to have to get it pulled out if it wasn't out by next month.  I could tell at dinner tonight it was about to come out and low and behold, it did!

So proud of my neighbor and friend, Thalia

Wednesday night we went to listen to our friend read a chapter from a book she co-wrote with a bunch of moms who have kids with autism and other issues. It was an amazing reading.  She was a drama major and should so be an actress.  It was very moving and beautifully written.  And she had it at a wine bar, so what better place could we have been in??

Little Buggy

He's such a cutie patootie!

Perfection

That's what I call my Mother's Day.  Absolute perfection.  It started with no kids here in the morning to wake us up and then we went to brunch at Satellite with Nana and Poppy.  The food there is always amazing.  Then we came home and Mommo drove down from Dallas to spend the day with us.  We spent the entire day laying out by the pool.  We even had a cute pool boy, i.e. Scotty.  :)  For dinner we cooked fish, asparagus and potatoes and finished the day off with a brownie fudge sundae.  Yes please.

Birthday weekend!

Well, my birthday sure didn't start on the right foot...I was sick all week long, our friends weren't able to come in town to celebrate, it was supposed to rain all weekend long (we had a scheduled a limo to go through the wineries in Fredericksburg), and I started the morning of my birthday getting a steriod shot in my butt.  But it did quickly turn around and turned into a fun weekend.  Other than the shot, this was one of the highlights of my birthday.  Our awesome next door neighbors brought over this basket that has all the ingredients to make a Texas Sipper, a drink we learned about at Founders day at their bbq booth.

Then we had some pool time/entertainment by Brady:

And on Saturday, we decided last minute to drive to a few local wineries, ending at the wonderful Trattoria Lisina for dinner.  And then to Salt Lick.
