We got wood!

Thanks to a buddy, we got wood delivered right in our front yard!  So cool!

Addy's new BFF

This is Laura's baby, Sydney.  This dog is so awesome!  She is a sweetheart, too.  Addy loves her and we all know she is afraid of dogs.  She wants one now.  And they are hypoallergenic so that's good.  Still don't think we are ready to take care of another animal just yet.  ;)

Happy 1/2 birthday!

October 28th...Brady turned 3 and 1/2!  Stop growing!  And he wore his birthday shirt to school, after having worn it last night to Nana's birthday party.

Mommy made dinner, oven baked chicken, black eyed peas and corn and Daddy made dessert, chocolate brownies with Reese's in them.  We sang him half of the birthday song.

Van Gogh

For Nana's birthday present, Addy decided to make her gift this year.  She painted her favorite things, the longhorns, flowers, hearts and butterflies (and of course a peace sign)

Way to go Addy bear!!

Addy got the game ball on Saturday for doing such a great job!  She got her first hit.  She was so excited that she hit the ball that she literally stopped in her tracks and looked at her daddy, cause she was so excited.  So she got out, but who cares, she hit the ball!  She had just drawn a picture of her hitting the ball last week at dinner after practice and when she left to go to the game, she was cheering herself on, "Go Addy, you're gonna hit it, go Addy, you're gonna hit it."  SO proud!!

Here's a pic of her team photo.  She looks like a little model here.  (Last one on the right on bottom row) And can you see a cute stud in here too?  i.e.  her daddy :)
This is her getting the game ball after the game, more pics on my camera to come.

All Mac'd out

I can't even believe I've turned completely Mac!

Burger King, water leak #2 and cupcakes

Oh man, yesterday was one of those days that I didn't know if I was coming or going.  It started with breakfast with moms, we went to Burger King instead of the school cafeteria, that was fun.  After taking these two sillies to school, I came home and worked on converting my PC to a Mac, oh that was way fun, ran off into my hot vinyasa yoga class for an hour of breathing and sweating, showered, had Poppy here to fix my computers, off to get allergy shots, and then to see my movie producer's house have a lovely water leak and met a mold consultant to go over it with.  Well he was 30 minutes late and I left there at 2:35 to get all the way back to pick up Addy from school.  I knew I was going to be late, I had tears over it, I called Nana and Poppy, I texted a buddy that is always there at pickup, and nobody was around, but thank God for sweet Gayle who stood with my baby until I got there.  Ugh, I can't tell you how nerve wracking that was…so then it was time for some much needed ice cream together.  Later that afternoon, after finally getting my Barton Hills home closed, I was off to the HOA Belterra meeting where I learned so much from the developer about the newest company who has bought us, to learning about our ETJ from our state representative, and its apparent things are happening here.  It was a 2 hour meeting but all very informative to hear.  I came home to a sweet delivery of cupcakes from a friend, and walked my butt into bed and closed my eyes (this is why I was up at 5am this morning to do it all again!) ;)

I thought this post from a friend was well suited for today, since she was the sweet deliverer of the cupcakes after knowing what a day it had been.  super awesome

Rainbow loom

Before

After

This was my day to pick her outfit

So stinking cute.

Smores, toys, pinatas and pics

Loved this weekend, family time is always fun time.  We took the kids to Toys R Us on Friday after school and let them pick out any toy they wanted.  They have been so good and we felt they deserved a special treat.  Afterwards we went over to Phil's IceHouse and had burgers, played on the playground and then Amy's Ice Cream of course.

Saturday morning was chilly but we braved the cold for the kids games and pics.  The afternoon warmed up very nicely and we headed up north to Laura and Ben's welcome home party.

That night we had Savanna over and cooked steaks for us, pizza for the kids and then had smores and watched TV outside on the back patio with the fire going.  It was cozy.

Sunday morning we got to have brunch with sweet Sally and her mom, then came home for a family nap and then we headed to the Austin 360 bridge for our family photos.  I think we nailed it this year, as the kids had their big smiles on the entire time.  We treated ourselves to Maudie's after that and then it was already time for bed and just like that, the weekend was over.

whirlwind.

Phew...this week...recovering from the house floods, my clients house that just ended their option, over there every other day since Sunday... my friend Samantha's house, helping her find a rental...helping another friend by reading a book about money with her...had a short day with Monday being a sort of holiday...it was a lazy day at home...took Addy shopping for more fall clothes, thank goodness for no practices due to all the rain we got or else I may have pulled my hair out... Made first chili of the fall...allergy shots started...have lunch tomorrow with a friend, and hopefully a closing ...getting to see Sally this weekend...a sleepover for Addy...family pictures....then ready for a day of rest.  ;)
This was funny, while in Tarrytown I saw this TV with a sign that read, Really? Is this what you think of your neighborhood?

Book I'm reading with my buddy

And then I got this warning on my computer...don't think I can even read and/or fully comprehend it! Ha!

Her first camp out

My baby girl has been gone all weekend with her Girl Scout troop. The moms have terrible reception out there, so they can't send pictures and text too much but from what we've heard, they are having an amazing time! They have been horseback riding, canoeing, doing archery, hiking, and water slides.  I can't wait to wrap my arms around her!

She told us to not have any fun while she was gone, so here are the boys not having fun.  She will be so sad to know she missed a great party at her house and had her friends over here while she was gone, but I did my best in keeping them out of her room.

Grateful

This was a week of being grateful for helpful neighbors and friends, for awesome in-laws that pick up kids from school, and friends that get my child rain boots cause my daughter doesn't like the ones I got. Very grateful.

Grown up

So here's Addy at 3 different times of the day today in her sassy dress and boots...

Motorcycle guy

Looked in my rearview menu today, there was a man on a bike and when stopped at a red light he would take his mask off, and his face- with his sunglasses on and familiar white mustache, he reminded me totally of my dad and it was like his ghost was behind me on that motorcycle...I had chills. I so wanted to take a picture of him so I could have something to look at to remember him by, but wasn't real successful in doing so.

Slinky

Got the kiddos this awesome slinky. It's huge and has already provided hours of entertainment.
