a great afternoon

Today was a fun afternoon after the kids got home from school.  Scott called Addy on the phone once she got in the car asking her on a date on Friday night to the Daddy/Daughter dance.  She got SO excited on the phone and said yes!  They are going to go out to dinner and then to the dance, and on a double date, too.  Then we went to pick up Bubba from school.  He was so cute as he walked out the door, telling all the kids bye by name and said "bye teacher!" to every teacher he passed.  As he left he said, "I love school."

It was Addy's day to go to the library and she asked if her brother could come too.  We have been talking about being a good big sister and she was excited to bring her bro.

Then we booked a trip to stay at the Westin for Valentine's.  Scott is presenting at UNT and so we get a chance to go see Mommo and friends. Who hoo!

Train

Our entire house is one long train. And I bet you can't even guess which child this was that made it.

Happy 1/2!

A beautiful and special girl had a 1/2 birthday today! She brought a cookie cake to school that said "Happy 1/2" and her mom and dad came to eat lunch with her at school.

Summer vaca booked!

This is where we will be on our 10th wedding anniversary... we can hardly wait!  Only 140 days away!!  We have a swim up pool to our room!!

Come on summer!

I heart Dripping

So my hubby is injured so he went to the Dr. this morning.  And he's just sitting there waiting and guess who walks in the door...

 

 

Yep, Kyle Chandler.  He had his motorcycle helmet on at first, but Scott heard his voice and knew exactly who it was.  My chiro is also friends with him and he was at his 40th birthday party.  I must get my chance to see him.  I have seen Jesse James at HEB but haven't seen Kyle yet, but I will.  Will keep you updated on how Scott's doing, too.  XOXO honey!!

Super Heroes to the rescue!

Addy and Brady were inspired this weekend by super heroes and got into the swim bag to make themselves be super heroes too. It was pretty funny.

We are so proud of Bradyn!!  He's doing awesome in the water.  So amazing to see him love the water, especially when there are other kids screaming crying to get in.

His teacher said he even listens, it is fun to watch Brady just talk his ear off

The Life of a 6 year old

Man, I wish I had the life of a 6 year old.  Just this weekend-watch movies, go swimming, eat Girl Scout cookies all day, play, go out to dinner with friends, have a sleepover, go to Sunday brunch, play some more, and then eat more Girl Scout cookies.

Getting real at Realty Austin

I had such a motivating day Friday! It's been nice to get back in a routine again and get out of the house some. Friday morning we had our first sales meeting with Realty Austin. Man, it's amazing what some of those folks bring in. Millions. It was a great first day though, even though I had to miss MOPS to go. Then after we went to lunch at a nice restaurant and I had wood fire trout that was amazing with spinach and a salad. Then I got to have a sweet massage and a major trip to HEB. We played outside all afternoon and Scott had the iTunes going in the garage and had totally organized it. I made the kids spaghetti and meatballs and it was movie night. It was a good day.

Potty training at its finest

Mom of the Year here. We are trying to potty train B and its true what they say, boys are harder than girls. He loves his shows, so we are letting Brady watch a show everytime he pees in the potty to get him to go. Hey it's better than candy, right?!

Are you even listening to me?

These kids love their devices.  This morning Scott had to yell that the house was on fire to see if anyone was even listening to him.  Our last lazy morning to get up and going before school starts tomorrow.

NYE

Happy New Year.  Wow, we had a great end of the year. The kids spent the night at Nana and Poppy's house while we spent some time with ourselves.  We went to a party in the neighborhood and their living room looked like this.  I  mean, how could this not be fun with a DJ booth in the dining room!

The next day we spent New Years day at Nana and Poppy's eating black eyed peas, spinach, cornbread  and the yummiest smoked ribs.  They were so good that even Addy wanted ribs.  So proud of her for eating them!!
