Life Austin camp

Oh wow, what a week these kids have had at camp!  They came home Friday night with their photo blown up, tie dyed t shirt, paintings, Addy did a video that aired on the big screen Friday night, and Brady sang (very well!) This Little Light of Mine and knew all the choreography. Kids loved this one!!

Taco Tuesday

Lake weekend!!

Great weekend at the lake with Mommo and my brother and his family.  We came to pick up Maren from Camp Longhorn and got in to get her an interview for next summer.  Friday night we ate at Tamale King

Then we woke up early Saturday and headed to Camp Longhorn to get Maren. 

Then we went to Coopers BBQ and stuffed our faces and came home and took a nap

Addy's camps so far

Addy is having a busy summer so far! Last week she had VBS with about 25 other friends from Rooster Springs and this week has been Girl Scout camp. She's come home exhausted every single day so far!

The Storm

Oh what a night. Storm started about 10, lost power, woke up the kids and hung out in the closet (while Scott stupidly tried to pick up stuff outside).  It was scary, and we got pretty much no sleep. So thankful though as it could have been worse...

Tons of tree limbs all over the yard. Scott, Addy and I spent over three hours cleaning up. 

Top of our neighborhood, trees uprooted everywhere. Our neighbors tree was literally turned all the way around.  Trampolines all over the place.

What's crazy is we woke up that day to a rainbow in the morning while eating breakfast.

Last day of school swim party

Last day of school!

Both kids have had such a great year of school! The last day was a flurry of fun!

Killer weekend

The fun fun fun has begun...one more week of school left, but it sure feels like summer already.

Friday I went for a run, while Scott and his dad worked in the yard and then I showed some amazing Westlake homes that I could only dream about and the boys went to lunch.

After showing I went to buy a date night dress and came home to Brady and Scott swimming in the finally warmed up pool.

Addy and Scott had a date afternoon and had gone to see Maleficent together and then he took her to a birthday party.  That night we got a sitter and went out on a date night!!!  In my new black dress, we went to Truluck's downtown and sat upstairs and it was amazing!  They had shut it down and renovated it and man, it was worth it.  They brought us a cake for our anniversary (oops!) and I can't tell you the last time we have been out to a nice restaurant for date night and it felt great.  We had a great meal, and then went next door to a rooftop bar. 

(It wasn't really our anniversary!) 

Saturday we worked around the house and then had some swim time during the day.

At 3, we went to the end of year softball team party and oh my...THE most fun kids party we have ever been to.  It was at Ella's house and they live on beautiful property on 2 acres in Rim Rock.  The party went from 3-11pm . We ate amazing smoked brisket and tons of yummy sides and listened to some great music, played washers, the kids zip lined in the backyard and we danced and laughed all night.  Coolest house/lot I have seen in quite some time and hung with some really cool people.  So hope we can all be on the same team again.
