Cowgirls at heart

Love seeing 6 year olds on a horse! It was a fun first lesson.  Addy picked the black one but once she got up close she saw the horse was covered in mud.  So she got to go clean her first.

Isn't she pretty?  Addy even pet above her nose this time, she is getting less scared around the horses.

She looks like a little equestrian here!

This picture just speaks to me.  I want to know what Olivia is thinking here.

Lexie just put this one on Facebook of us so I figured I should add to the blog!

My very favorite...

Family Rules

Love our new list! We will follow.

Firefighters to the rescue!

These two are such good buddies!  They both LOVE firetrucks and playing with trucks.  It is pretty funny to listen to the two of them have a full conversation about a firetruck.

This is Brady at Hobby Lobby today.  He even found a fire hat there!  We got Addy the horse picture to his left for her new room.  It's coming together!

Meal party!

Oh my...this was actually a productive girls get together and it was so very fun.  We went over to Melissa's with coolers full of fresh cut meat and then we prepared ourselves 10-20 meals using Wildtree seasonings and Grapeseed Oil.  Unfortunately for me they were pouring us wine and I was talking too much so who knows what these meals of mine will taste like, but it sure was fun anyways!  It is very hard to read directions, drink wine, and talk all at the same time.

The "very serious" birthday girls, trying to plan a happy hour

This was the view from my table...15 mamas there total!

Scavenger Hunt

Addy was so excited when she saw her new room. She decided she wanted to give Daddy money for doing it, an entire $.66! She made him a scavenger hunt to go through the house looking for the next clue to the money. Totally cute!

How cute is he?

I mean, who wouldn't want a painter this cute?!  Yes, that is blue tape from the touch up areas all over him.

Here's an example of the finished product.  It looks SO good!

He was striking poses.  And this was at 7am, mind you.

They came home from school and went right to the chalkboard wall!

Here we go again, again

We are back at Westlake hospital. Scotty is getting an ultrasound this time. Two cat scans and an ultrasound in two weeks, thank God for the flexible spending account. If I ever die, I want to die at this hospital. It is so nice and they love us here (they let us park up front). I also heard they are one of the cheapest hospitals to go to in Austin, which is ironic since its Westlake!

Here we go again...

We are finally turning the pink bedroom blue.  Scott has been on Houzz a lot lately and we are putting this stuff on the ceiling and then putting molding around it.  He's such the wonderful daddy and painter and construction worker all in one!

One wall is going to be a chalkboard so she can just write out all her frustration whenever she wants!

Giddy Up

Since Addison is going horseback riding today, she decided to dress up her brother this morning as a cowboy.  She put his boots on for him.  She wanted to make sure you see the horse inbetween her legs.

Bubba saying cheese outside of school

He's very proud of his boots and wants to show them off to everyone!

Big D

Time with Mommo is always time well spent. The kids spent the night with her one night and they had fun eating pizza and cookies (and keeping Mommo up all night). Friday Scotty presented at UNT about the graduate program at Texas State while I got to go workout with all my old workout buddies and get a beating by Deb, the best aerobic instructor, ever. That was followed by a shopping trip and lunch at our favorite spot, Tru Fire.

The next night the kids got to stay with their buddies Douglas and Hudson with Jade and Chelsea and they played pretty hard (while the mommies and daddies played pretty hard, too). It started with sushi and sake bombs at Ra, then salad and wine at Bob's Steakhouse, and finished off the night at a birthday party at Tailgaters for David. The Westin was awesome and hope to be back soon. It's always fun in the big D!

Good and bad

I am so I enthralled with watching how horrific of a time these folks on the Carnival cruise are having getting home. They talk about it on the news every second!  I cannot imagine being on a boat, with strangers, and being stranded, with no electricity and seeing poop and pee running down the walls. I have always said you cannot pay me to get on a cruise and something like this happening is exactly why. That is just gross. And wrong.

On a positive note, we just checked into our hotel in Frisco and the bestest friend on the block had a bottle of wine and chocolate strawberries delivered to our room. That is just a sweet friend!!!! We are eating it so fast I couldn't even get a picture of it!

And the hotel just gave us free wi-fi cause they are nice. Or cause I rock at asking nicely for things.  Or they know we have had a stressful day today.

oUr pArTy GiRl!

This cracks me up.  This is what our Valentine's card looks like from Addy. It's a picture of Addison's birthday party she wants us to throw for her when she turns 7. Can you see the banner hanging that says Happy Birthday Addison?  The second page says, "I love my mom and dad because they throw me good parties." I'm so glad that's why we are so loved. XOXO

Happy ❤ day!

Happy Valentine's day! It's definitely a bittersweet one for us this year. I'm sitting in the waiting room at Westlake hospital waiting for Scott to get done with an emergency cat scan. We don't know what's wrong with him, he's having a tough time breathing and Dr. said to get here ASAP so we are praying very hard it's nothing serious. The best V day gift we can get today is good news from the Dr. Health and wellness are so very important to everyone and we hope to figure out what's going on and get him feeling better again. Prayers please!

12:43 pm Praise God! Our prayers were answered. Scott doesn't have a clot or a tumor or cancer so that is great news. His diaphragm is the possible cause and he is having an ultrasound next week. It was just so good to hear he's OK and that we could continue on with our trip. Tonight we will be in our hotel robes ordering room service and saying thank you God!

Scott wanted Maudie's (shocker) after the cat scan.  Nothing like OJ and queso for breakfast!

We made it to the Valentine's party!  Whoo hoo!!

Date Night #2

Addy and I went to dinner in the mall after getting her very first pair of "high" heels and some flip flops since her feet grow faster than I can buy her shoes. She's a 13.5!

Cupcake Decorating Class

Oh man, I am not a baker of any kind, but I took a cupcake decorating class with 5 other Belterra moms and it was fun! We learned many techniques to decorating cupcakes using different tips, icing colors and even fondants. I am not sure if I have the patience to ever do this again at home, but it sure was fun!

Oh my...

Grandparent's Day at Rooster...I HAD to have this picture. I got it from the one and only, sweet, beautiful and wonderful mom/pretty much full time worker at Rooster (cause she's there all the time).

Thank you Gayle for taking (and getting me this awesome picture) and Poppy thank you for going to Grandparents day with Addison!

Made Our Day

Seriously...this made our morning...this was a note from Addy she wrote before coming downstairs for breakfast.  It says:

"For you Bradyn, I made your bed because you're my fireman.  Love, Addison I Love you"
Love that she did this on her own....

And this was just too cute, B doing his morning pee, it is just too stressful being a 2 year old.  In the bathroom, picture me, Addy and three of his animals in there watching, too.

SO much fun at the Girls Got Sole Party

Oh my gosh! Saturday night...I have never seen anything like this in my life. A neighbor of mine set up her garage to look just like the inside of a club. Once you enterered, they set up this photo booth, filled with tons of awesome props, to take photos with an awesome backdrop behind you. Then there were fog machines and crazy lights going around and seriously the BEST music ever.  They played so many great songs and each song had a video playing on the wall, so you could see the video while you were dancing. I mean, so creative and so much fun.

All the mamas dressed up in club clothes and we all wore wigs too. I had no idea I could have this much fun in a garage turned club, and can't really remember the last time I was in a real club. I could barely walk home from the party my feet hurt so bad from dancing. And can I say how cool it is to walk home from a party barefoot? I will never forget this evening.

I was a brunette for a night

Me, Melissa, Thalia and Tanya (club owner)

One of the stars of the party, Melissa, i.e. Dixie (so hot!!)

My friend and neighbor Thalia, how awesome is she!  Roller skates!!

With Ilona and Lexie, Ilona was a great sport and came last minute, and Lexie and I ordered the same wig!

Just to give you a visual of what it looked like inside
The awesome DJ, George, he never took a break!

How adorable is she!!  Loved the props, too.
